Part-time Program Assistant
Reporting to Manhattan Graphics Center’s management team, the Part-time Program Assistant will work a hybrid remote and in-person schedule of up to 15 hours per week, contributing to studio programming and operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
–Assist the management team with various administrative and studio tasks as directed
–Manage and grow our social media presence through consistent engagement
–Produce and schedule our weekly eblast
–Support our artist talk programming by managing recordings and virtual tech
–Assist our exhibitions committee with installation and administrative tasks as needed
Skills and Qualifications:
–Must have excellent writing and communication skills
–Experience working in a non-profit arts setting is preferred
–Must be proficient with Instagram, Twitter and email marketing
–Knowledge of Google Workspace, Zoom, Wix, YouTube, and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and InDesign is a plus
Compensation:
–$15-$18 / hour depending on experience

Visiting Printmaker Workshop Coordinator
MGC introduces high school students to printmaking through its Visiting Printmaker
Workshop (VPW) initiative. The VPW program augments high school arts programs with an introduction to printmaking through exposure to the history and techniques of how to create a fine art print. The program introduces students to actual prints from private and public collections and allows them to gain their own experiences through hands-on instruction in one or more printmaking techniques.
The Part-Time Program Coordinator will work on a contract basis under a hybrid remote and in-person model. VPW conducts up to 6 sessions total per year across at least 2 schools (goal of adding schools to the program); each visit typically consists of two to three hours per day for a five-day period.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Communicate with administrative and teaching staff at participating schools to establish schedule and programming details
–Work closely with MGC’s Master Printmaker to determine schedule and programming needs
–Recruit and schedule assistants to Master Printmaker for school visits
–Coordinate with Master Printmaker, school personnel, and assistants on all aspects of
school/site visits
–Track and maintain inventory of supplies
–Collect relevant information (surveys, photos, etc.) for grant reporting
–Identify and contact potential schools for visits
Skills and Qualifications:
–Must have excellent writing and communication skills
–Experience working in a non-profit arts setting is preferred
–Must have basic knowledge of printmaking, particularly intaglio methods
Compensation:
–the coordinator will be paid $1000 per session ($25/hour, up to 40 hours of admin per session including all prep and communication with various stakeholders)
–Unlimited access to the printmaking studio
–25% discount on MGC classes and rentals
